YOUR FOOTPRINT IN HAITI

Cornertone’s partnership with Extollo International is making a real impact in the lives of men and women in Haiti. Together lives are being changed in a long term sustainable way.

OUR PARTNERSHIP

JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Have you ever considered using your skills to help in Haiti? We have some opportunities for people to come spend some time at the Training Center investing into our Haitian staff!

CORNERSTONE + EXTOLLO

KIDS AGAINST
HUNGER

After Hurricane Matthew in October 2016, relief donations flooded the country. Many times, when relief is done without thought, there is more damage to the long term health of the country than there is help. Thanks to Cornerstone, we were able to purchase rice from local Haitian farmers instead of importing it from the States. Then, we found Haitian volunteers to pack the meals for their brothers and sisters who lost so much during the hurricane.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

1/3

Through the help of your ongoing generosity, we are building men and women of character based on biblical values. Each day starts with prayer and a devotional focusing on God’s word and how to live a life of character. Students report that time spent in our program makes them feel closer to God.

LEADERSHIP

SEMINAR

1/3

In February 2018, Pastor Steve Madsen led a community Leadership Seminar at the Training Center. This seminar taught pastors, teachers, NGO workers, and community leaders about how to be a Godly leader. This was a great opportunity for Americans to learn alongside the Haitian community.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

RICHARD, STUDENT

MEET MACDA TERTULIEN

Macda has lived in the Bercy area since his childhood. In his early 20s, he joined a gang. He had a gun and often got manipulated by others to block main roads, burn tires and threaten people. Convinced by Wilkens, one of our employees, Macda decided to take a masonry class and then another class in concrete and forms. This wise choice changed Macda’s life. Now, he finds Masonry jobs from time to time and a couple of days per week, he works for Extollo as a groundskeeper. With the money he earned from these new jobs, he invested in livestock. Now, he lives with his family in dignity and provides for his needs. Macda is among other gang members in Bercy who have benefited from our training programs. Now Bercy is calm in spite of all the tensions happening in Haiti for the past two months.

THANK YOU!
