VIDEO UPDATE

JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Have you ever considered using your skills to help in Haiti? We have some opportunities for people to come spend some time at the Training Center investing into our Haitian staff!

CPC + EXTOLLO PROJECTS

WELDING CLASS

Your recent donation of $3,000 helped sponsor a Welding Course with 10 students. With out these scholarships the students would not be able to afford the training. Many will use this class to find jobs and some will even start their own welding business!

CANAL PROJECT

Our local community in Bercy often suffers during rainy seasons. Flood water frequently washes out our road and floods people’s homes. Your generosity helped the local community to build a canal system along the road to re-route water and help keep families dry!

RESTROOM FACILITY

The restroom facility is almost complete! In order to finish this project, the staff is working hard to finish the metal roofing and finish the last bits of carpentry, plumbing and electrical work. We are so excited for this project to come to completion. It will be a huge asset to our site.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

Through the help of your ongoing generosity, we are building men and women of character based on biblical values. Each day starts with prayer and a devotional focusing on God’s word and how to live a life of character. Students report that time spent in our program makes them feel closer to God.

MEET MACDA TERTULIEN

Haiti-1185.jpg

Macda has lived in the Bercy area since his childhood. In his early 20s, he joined a gang. He had a gun and often got manipulated by others to block main roads, burn tires and threaten people. Convinced by Wilkens, one of our employees, Macda decided to take a masonry class and then another class in concrete and forms. This wise choice changed Macda’s life. Now, he finds Masonry jobs from time to time and a couple of days per week, he works for Extollo as a groundskeeper. With the money he earned from these new jobs, he invested in livestock. Now, he lives with his family in dignity and provides for his needs. Macda is among other gang members in Bercy who have benefited from our training programs. Now Bercy is calm in spite of all the tensions happening in Haiti for the past two months.

MEET NARCISSE PHILIPPE

Philippe Narcisse.jpg

I am 39 years old and live in Lacoujolle in Archaie with my partner. We have two twins that are 7 years old. As a former student of the most recent Extollo’s Concrete Class, I was motivated to empower myself by learning other skills so that I can gain the skills I need to work in construction and thus provide for my family.

I now aspire to join Extollo’s staff as a professor, trade’s technician, or sub-contractor as a way to improve my knowledge and skills, and become more efficient

and competitive in my career.

With this additional skill of welding, I am confident I will soon find a job that will allow me to marry my partner, offer a more stable environment to my kids, and take care of my family as a responsible husband and father.

To end, I thank the founder and the team around him for their vision, courage, patience, and for bringing hope to Haiti. I pray God blesses and lifts Extollo higher than their expectations could be. May all of us students, from the past to the future, be grateful for Extollo’s commitment to our communities and to success in our careers.

THANK YOU!
