MEET GUELCE DURAND
Guelce with Extollo President, Keith Cobell, after graduation
After graduation Guelce shared this with us:
"I am a 25 years old single man living with my mother in Bercy. I heard about the Welding Course through some friends that had a promotion flyer for the course. Actually, I learned to weld on the job before I attended this course. However, I was very interested to earn an internationally recognized certificate, something Extollo is offering to its students. And even more than an international certificate, I realize that only now do I know how to methodically weld, and can now weld at a professional level.
I am excited to now be able to bring satisfaction to my clients and be able to transmit this knowledge to others in my community. In my early teenage years, I dreamed of becoming an electro-mechanic engineer. I am now aspiring to be Welding genius, capable of supporting my mom, and my future wife and kids.
May Extollo’s Operations endure forever in Haiti! May its large community of students be committed to transmitting the skills they gained to the Haitian people, who are struggling every day to live in happiness and joy."
CURRENT PROJECT UPDATES
Having completed Phase 1 construction of our campus, and now having trained our staff to be course instructors, we are now prepared to drastically begin scaling the frequency of our courses which will impact even more lives. While students are responsible for a portion of their course fees, they are not able to afford the full cost it takes to attend a training.
Our current need is focused on our Scholarship Fund which provides training to those who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend. We are raising $6000 to cover the costs of training 15 students for a 120-hour Masonry Course in early August.
